1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Fibio. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you and Fibio App.

By downloading, installing, or using Fibio, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the application.

2. Service Description

Fibio is a personal finance mobile application designed to help you record income and expenses, organize your money, and visualize your financial information clearly and simply.

The application works primarily locally, storing information on the user's device. Fibio includes gamification elements, such as a virtual mascot, to motivate consistent use of the app.

3. We Are NOT Financial Advice

Fibio is NOT a financial institution, bank, or certified financial advisor.

All information displayed in the application (charts, statistics, motivational messages, or general recommendations) is for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes.

Fibio does not guarantee financial results, specific savings, or economic improvements. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

4. Requirements to Use Fibio

  • Minimum age: 13 years.
  • Compatible device: Android according to the requirements published on Google Play.
  • Internet connection: required only for ads, updates, and in-app purchases.

5. Data Storage (Local Mode)

  • Fibio stores financial information locally on the user's device.
  • Fibio does not have access to your financial records.
  • Data is not sent to proprietary servers.
  • The user is responsible for making backups.
  • ⚠️ Warning: If the device is lost, damaged, or the application is uninstalled without backup, data may be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.

6. Advertising and Ad-Free Version

  • Fibio includes ads to maintain the free version.
  • The user can make an in-app purchase to remove ads.
  • Payments are processed exclusively by Google Play Store.
  • Fibio does not store or have access to the user's banking or payment data.
  • The purchase to remove ads does not grant additional features beyond ad removal.

7. Payments and In-App Purchases

  • All purchases and refunds are subject to Google Play policies.
  • Fibio does not control or guarantee refunds.
  • Any payment-related issues must be managed directly through Google Play.

8. Intellectual Property

The application, its code, design, interface, visual content, and the Fibio mascot are the exclusive property of Fibio App.

The user receives a limited, personal, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the application for personal and non-commercial purposes.

It is prohibited to:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the application
  • Reverse engineer
  • Use the brand or mascot without written authorization
  • Use the app for illegal or fraudulent purposes

9. Gamification and Virtual Goods

  • Fibio may include points, achievements, or other virtual elements.
  • They have no real monetary value.
  • They cannot be sold or exchanged.
  • Fibio may modify or eliminate them at any time without compensation.

10. Updates and Availability

  • Fibio may receive periodic updates.
  • Some updates may be necessary to continue using the app.
  • Uninterrupted service availability is not guaranteed.
  • The application is provided "as is" and "as available".

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fibio shall not be liable for:

  • Financial losses
  • Loss of locally stored data
  • Indirect or incidental damages
  • Decisions made based on app information
  • Issues arising from device use

12. Termination

The user may stop using Fibio at any time by uninstalling the application.

Fibio reserves the right to suspend access if use violates these Terms or applicable law.

13. Modifications to Terms

Fibio may update these Terms occasionally.

Continued use of the application after an update implies acceptance of the changes.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador.
